Entprima Jazz Cosmonauts - Release Notes, Release Notes

July 28, 2021

As of today, it is not entirely clear whether the Corona crisis will really be over by the release date. Nevertheless, this single from my series of historical audio commentaries comes at the right time in any case, because the audio file describes the outbreak of youthful enthusiasm over the newly won party freedom. And this summery exuberance knows no reservations.

Lyrics

I’m o.k.
I feel fine
I keep dancing till I’m 99

Covid came
Made me lame
I stayed home until the vaccine came
Thank you – I’m o.k.
Covid 19 couldn’t catch me
The vaccine did it

Nobody thought about such a long time

Oh, yes
It was a long time
No fun at all

I’m o.k.
I feel fine
I keep dancing till I’m 99

Covid came
Made me lame
I stayed home until the vaccine came

I’m so happy that it has an end now

Would like to dance now from morning to evening
Until I’m 99

Would like to dance now from morning to evening
Until I’m 99

I’m o.k.
I feel fine
I keep dancing till I’m 99

Covid came
Made me lame
I stayed home until the vaccine came

Fight for Empathy

After the story of “Spaceship Entprima” and the stage play “From Ape to Human”, the Entprima Jazz Cosmonauts were free for a new task. The decision was made for a permanent, socio-political task – the fight for more empathy in this world.

Empathy logically excludes racism, fascism, injustice, greed and all other evils of human behaviour. And when we speak of fight, we include determined resistance. We will not leave our children a world worth living in if we allow ourselves to fall permanently into romantic transfiguration or meditative retreat.

Nevertheless, every person needs a balance for his soul. If we respond to hate with hate, we will fail miserably. But we are many! If everyone does his part in daily life to improve the situation, we will win.

Make sure that you always remain powerful in your mission and avoid confrontations that harm your soul.

Making of

Information

In the early summer of 2021, the numbers of Corona infections decline rapidly thanks to the vaccination wave. People can finally party again, and the European Football Championship partly takes place in front of full crowds again. Everything seems to be back to normal. I wanted to dedicate a song to this mood of relief as part of my “Historic Moods” series.

In the course of working on the song, however, the first signs of a return of the virus into our lives appeared. The Delta variant picked up speed. The virologists warned of a fourth wave, and the high spirits began to crack.

Nevertheless, the euphoria of the early summer had become a historical fact and the song retained its justification. Stylistically, however, the misfire had to be represented somehow. So I decided on a song that comes across as almost silly and exuberant, but that reflects the honest feelings of momentary happiness.

The other songs in the series also take people’s emotional state seriously, but point to fractures in the actual political and social landscape that lead us to see many of our moods as ridiculous in retrospect.
