Comeback of the Apes

We are so proud of the evolution of the human species, which is scientifically speaking the evolution of apes. But our spirit seems to be so powerful that we only look down pityingly on the animals when we are not eating them at this very moment. But suddenly the animal in us is there again, when we kill each other without knowing exactly why. This is the “Comeback of the Apesâ€, and the monkeys are dancing for us.now on earth.
From Ape to Human
Three young couples who have known each other since their school days – i.e. known as a peer group – meet regularly in the loft of computer scientist Paul. They have fun together and are all enthusiastic dancers.
Due to the Corona pandemic, the meeting described in the dance drama takes a slightly different turn. Torn between youthful light-heartedness and caution, they decide to do without dancing. Instead, the very talented programmer Paul wants to show his latest electronic achievement “Alexis”.
A converted coffee machine with a connection to the internet and a good portion of artificial intelligence. He proposes to make a thought game about human evolution: “From Ape to Human”. “Alexis” should be able to produce a suitable music video for each part of the developing story at the first go. But “Alexis” proves to be even more intelligent than Paul ever thought possible.

The Stage Scene Before the Song
The audience applauds the ever wilder dancing monkey dancers.
Now Boris is completely beside himself, and announces to smash the “turd Alexis” into pieces. Although Paul is not exactly thrilled with his creation either, he instinctively takes on the role of protector over his machine and offers Boris to go home if he wants to.
Claire has already burst into tears, and the two leave the loft in indignation. Faris and Irina have also had enough of the party and sneak after it in a state of shock. To avert the worst, Paul and Jenny run after them to save some of their friendship.
A monkey dancer peeps through the open door of the loft and gives his colleagues the sign to enter. They take over the drinks and behave as if it was their party. Alexis starts a funky video, and the monkeys now dance to it directly in the scene, while they enthusiastically empty the bottles.
Alexis produces music and videos on the fly in the stage play “From Ape to Human”.
